How to Create a Google Account with your Existing Email Address

If you already have a business email address and want to access Google services such as Analytics and Ads, you do not need to create a new Gmail address or pay for Workspace.

Step 1 – Create Account

Go to https://accounts.google.com

Click on “Create account” at the bottom right, then select the “For my personal use” option to get a free alias account. Selecting “For work or my business” leads to setting up a premium Workspace account with a monthly fee. Personal is all you really need for accessing Google Analytics and similar services.

Step 2 – Personal Details

You’ll be asked to enter your name and birthday on the next couple screens.

Step 4 – Enter Your Existing Email

You will be asked to enter your work/business email. A confirmation email will then be sent, with either a link to click or a code to enter.

All set! You should now be able to use your new Google account to set up Google Analytics, set up Google Search Console, or set up a Google Ads account.
